Memento chronicles two separate stories of Leonard, an ex-insurance investigator who can no longer build new memories, as he attempts to find the murderer of his wife, which is the last thing he remembers. One story line moves forward in time while the other tells the story backwards revealing more each time.

Genius. The only film I’ve ever seen that gets severe memory loss right. Having been as damaged as the main character for 7 years I know what it’s like to forget your own name, where you are, if it is day or not, over and over. Drowning in broken thoughts while taking a very lonely voyage from one hell to another.
