What I liked most about the original film was the songs and how endlessly catchy they were. That is completely gone here with Lin Manuel Miranda having taken on the music for Mufasa. Weird choice for all parties involved. Also weird to have both those movies release at essentially the exact same time. 🤷🏻♂️ I took my 7 y/o niece, Arwen and to my shock this was her first ever trip to a movie theater. I had to give my sister a talking to. I was glad I got to be the one to take her. She really enjoyed it, but had a meltdown that she can’t watch Moana 3, like, immediately. Next time I won’t be staying for post credits scenes with her. 😬 Not one I’ll be watching again anytime soon, but it was fine for what it is.
