The Forever Purge

The Forever Purge
The rules are all broken as the annual Purge continues even after the holiday ends. A group of survivors in Texas must find a way to get across the Mexican border and makes it out alive while the whole country around them springs into complete chaos.

My quick rating - 5.3/10. This really didn't feel much like a Purge movie at all. Mentioning the purge happening, then ending and continuing because of a bunch of racists.....I mean, patriots want to use it to eradicate what seemed to be all illegal immigrants from the country, was the story here. But the actual Purge itself has nothing to do with it. More wholesale violence against Mexicans, specifically in this flick. The action was pretty non-stop and was well executed when the scenes finished, so for the entertainment factor, you were set. Minus the times they elected to rely on the shaky handi cam method, which I could do without. But remove the title and call it something else, and I doubt anyone would have batted an eye at it. The whole message here seemed more like a Trump speech. First and last, I will say about that part. Acting-wise, there was quite a bit to be desired. IF we are supposed to care about who may make it or not, you really want to create characters with some substance to them. And with this kind of acting, you aren't getting that. This is by far the worst entry into the series. The TV show had a lot more going for it than this, and unless there is some major revelation in ideas for it, I believe this may have been the nail in the coffin for another one-night crime spree known as The Purge.
