This is NOT the animated movie! I am a big Lilo & Stitch fan and I went into this movie wanting to enjoy it but definitely ready to be be skeptical. I didn’t care for all of the changes that they made in the film, but by the end of it I DID NOT CAAAARE. They hit me in the emotions HARD! Pleakley was a surprising favorite and Lilo was perfect and adorable. Stitch was Stitch. I can’t say that I cared for some of Nani’s acting choices or (story wise) how they re-worked Cobra Bubbles’ backstory, but again - by the end of the movie, these changes were very inconsequential to the impact of the overall story.
Also - the ending was great. I love that Nani was able to peruse her dreams without sacrificing Lilo’s wellbeing. I’m glad that they showed her still having an active part of Lilo’s life using the alien tech.
Overall, great film!
