Impending threat from the infamous Driscoll Brothers results in Boycie, Marlene and their son Tyler leaving their expensive lifestyle in Peckham in favor of a secluded country farmhouse in Shropshire. Much to Boycie's chagrin, the farmhouse comes with three staff - manager Elgin, ploughman Jed, and herdsman Bryan.

The characters of Boycie & Marlene, first seen in Only Fools & Horses, were given their own spin-off series The Green Green Grass, set away from Peckham & in the Shropshire countryside. The show ran for 4 seasons and 32 episodes from 2005-2009. All but one show is included in this collection. I'm really enjoying seeing these again for the first time since they were originally broadcast. The whole cast works so well together.
I bought this set after the recent death of the actor John Challis, who played Boycie. I'm sure he'd like to be remembered for bringing fun and laughter into people's lives. For me, The Green Green Grass does just that. Having it in my collection will help keep the memory of John Challis alive and is a great tribute to him as an actor.
