Solid supernatural slasher even if the lacing drags a bit at times. The lo-fi mirror effects are kinda hokey, but it’s kind of perfectly suited to the strange-ish plot where a man is killed and his evil spirit is trapped in some shards of mirror and can apparently wreak all kinds of ghastly havoc on anyone nearby. Or maybe not even nearby because sometimes you can be across a lake. So maybe the mirror doesn’t matter. Why a mirror anyways? Does this happen anytime someone watches someone get killed through a mirror. I don’t bring up the questions to point out plot holes, but more to say how it’s pretty entertaining to have these thoughts run through your head while watching it. There are some fun kills. I liked the dual kill with the screwdriver I think. Particularly the aftermath where their friends see them and just think they’re kissing and lament that it will probably be a while. There’s a scissor kill, too. And also a girl makes a pass at a mute boy telling him she actually thinks it’s cute that he doesn’t talk. 🤫 Fun 80’s watch.
