The unnecessary Latin and lack of contractions in speech is presumably intended to feel authentically medieval, but just adds hurdles to a cast already bogged down with cliche and 2 dimensional ‘good’ and ‘evil’ characters. Despite the best efforts of a fantastic cast, the whole project is a 90s relic which swiftly devolves into formulaic tedium
