Man this is a movie that I really wanted to love. You can tell it was made with the best of intentions and a semblance of heart but in the end there's just not enough that stands out in any facet to really offset how contrived and telegraphed everything feels. I'll never understand getting a group of funny people together who excel at riffing and not giving them much room to improv and be funny. Most of the actors sound like they're reading lines off an offscreen teleprompter and the plot is entirely too serious and feels like it's flailing for emotion. It's the type of moral focused movie that would be much more palatable if its comic relief sections were actually funny, but instead the funniest thing about the movie is realizing how much Jay Mohr looks like Mr. Incredible.
