Peaks and troughs abound, Blade 2 is a lot of fun even if it is jo where near the original. May favourite thing here us the new reaper vamp, very cool design as you would expect from a monster master like del Toro. Nomak plays an amazing villain with a real menacing screen presence. His blood hunger feels very real like an addict dying for their next hit. Its really good stuff. The rest of the crew are hit and miss. Perlman is Perlman and everyone else is just ok. The fact there even has to be a group outing this time feels very 'studio seqel' and just doesn't excite me that much. Oh and Norman Reedus is really annoying in this one. Gripes aside, del Toro does enough stylistically to make it a fun watch. Blade and Whistler are still great on screen and the action is all passable.
