A series of short sketches, most of which parody late-night television and the low-budget movies one often finds there. Other skits include a man being attacked by his apartment, a funeral hosted by classic comedians, and a teen-age boy's big night turning into a nightmare.

This wasn’t just a movie, it was a late-night fever dream stitched together from the cultural static of the '80s. I remember sitting in that dim theater, surrounded by the smell of popcorn and polyester jackets, watching the screen flicker through absurd sketch after sketch. It felt like channel surfing at 1 a.m. on a rabbit-eared TV, where every station was slightly off and every commercial was a punchline. The humor? Wildly uneven. Some skits hit like a slapstick grenade. And in the context of the era, it made sense. This was the VHS boom, the rise of cable, the golden age of spoof. The film pokes fun at the very medium it’s part of , TV, home video, the absurdity of mass media. Watching it now, it’s easy to call it dated. But back then? It was a mirror held up to the madness of the moment. Seeing it in the cinema gave it a communal energy. People laughed, groaned and whispered “what the hell?” in unison. It was messy, loud and weirdly brilliant.
