Dramatizes a contemporary American family's attempts to deal with the mundane conflicts of everyday life while grappling with the universal mysteries of love, death, and the possibility of happiness in an uncertain world.
“Family is the cradle of the world’s misinformation.” Love all the horror beats. Enjoyed the humor in act 1, but the metaphors get messy when the inciting event happens. The COVID allegory was decent but it felt conflicted wrt our response to it. I did find humor in the constant shifting, especially the impromptu river raft ride. And the part with Bill Camp. The reopening supermarket tho not so great! So, second act: a lotta good, a little bad! Didn’t really understand the hard left turn in the third act but it was at least interesting to watch! Enjoyed the performances and Greta’s hair especially!
