These people left their blonde Russian daughter—who looks like a discount Michelle Williams—alone in Russia so they could live in America without her. They should be excommunicated. I’d understand if she were ugly. Such a strong opening to a movie—I nearly started crying when she fell into the mud. This is exactly what City 17 looked like before the Combine took over… exactly the same.
Lilya had good taste—she had a T.A.T.u. poster on her wall. Absurdly good soundtrack.
When watching a film like this, you can always tell there’s going to be a certain type of scene. You can feel it coming. She should’ve never opened that door.
Good pick from Lucas James Petti—I want this on DVD now. It sucks that she ended up in a worse place, than where she began.
I don’t know why I like this movie—maybe it’s because I like the feeling of decay when it comes to storytelling. I romanticize the fall. I’m weird like that.
