The movie tackles themes of guilt, familial love, and self-acceptance, set against the main character's deteriorating health. It takes place almost completely in his apartment so it leans heavily on the acting. Brendan Fraser’s performance is the heart of this film and his acting is very immersive. I wasn't as impressed with the supporting cast (Hong Chau as Liz and Sadie Sink as Ellie). They weren't bad by any means, but Fraser was just so good that it was at the point where it was noticeable just how much better he was compared to the other actors. That said, it’s worth a watch if you’re into character-driven dramas.
