Blackbeard

Blackbeard
In the Golden Age of Piracy, at the dawn of the 18th century, Blackbeard stood out among the lawless rogues as the most fearsome and notorious seafarer of them all. He killed for the reputation, and his reputation has become legend. Now, for the first time, comes the true story of pirate Edward Teach, the man who terrorized the seas.

This miniseries looks like it wants to be epic, but it never really gets there. The production is decent enough for TV, but it leans a little too hard into clichés and melodrama. Acting is hit or miss—some performances carry the scenes, others feel like overacting. It has its moments, especially if you're into pirate stuff, but overall it feels more like a missed opportunity than a buried treasure. Watchable, but not memorable.
