Rewatched this to prepare to see Joe Pera do stand-up this weekend. I love that he just plays a “badass,” more confident version of himself. A lot funnier than I remembered! Think it would be a hit in a group setting!
I get an updated Sandler feel from the film and a Napoleon Dynamite feel when Stavvy is pouting lmao
The casting and backstory of Stavvy’s family is so funny. Also, love that Tom Papa is the news anchor!
Love a good Jeremy and Rajat appearance! Edy! CM Punk! The dude from Conner O’Malley’s films! Very fun!
Second half is less good but it’s still a solid comedy!
