The story follows a young woman, who seeks out his church. There, she is manipulated into giving confession to Father Xavier Meldrum. Meldrum uses his status and crazed persistence to work his way into Jenny's life by any means necessary.

After this and The Comeback kicking so much ass, I am officially a Pete Walker fan. House of Mortal Sin is a mean little gem- morally outraged, deeply cynical, and entirely unafraid to offend. It carries all the hallmarks of Walker's best work: a blend of sleaze, social critique, and compelling psychological horror. The scariest monsters are the ordinary ones. Such as a sadistic priest, a man who uses his religious authority to manipulate, punish, and ultimately destroy the lives of those he deems immoral. He’s a terrifying figure precisely because of how ordinary he seems. This isn’t a flashy film- it’s unapologetically grim 70's down to the unfulfilling finale. There’s little comfort to be found here, and even less redemption. Just as horror should be.
