A pair of aliens arrive on Earth to prepare for invasion, but crash instead. Coneheads is a surprisingly endearing film that expands on its SNL sketch origins with a sweet, family-centric story. While some gags fall flat and the humor can be repetitive, the committed performances by Dan Aykroyd and Jane Curtin, along with a host of memorable cameos, give it a unique charm. It's a silly yet heartfelt immigrant tale with a bizarre sci-fi twist.
