Seems very much like Alec Baldwin woke up one day and decided he wanted to LARP as a badass wild west outlaw. So he found a director and a studio willing to back him, murdered a photographer on set to get some headlines, and expected the rest to just work itself out.
Thankfully this was a complete box office bomb, so it's unlikely his "ideas" will be humored by a major studio again.
The movie itself is fairly predictable, clearly showing its low-budget and rushed nature in some spots, but with some decent action and cinematography showing through occasionally.
