As an early noughties, straight to DVD, low budget horror, it’s not utterly hideous. Effects are good and production values aren’t the worst you’ll see. It does have the Matrix style, greenish filter and the high speed decomposition/dark liquid adjoining scenes, that seemed everywhere at the time, so it shows its age. It’s what you’d expect.
As an entry in the overall realm of Marvel, with its high budgets, A-list casts and universe building? It sticks out like a sore thumb, and you’ll be disappointed if judging by that standard. It’s not an MCU movie, but an early ‘in association with’, but that reference makes it easy to poke holes, and fun at.
