Pretty spectacular filmmaking. Sōmai captures varying degrees of coming of age, awakening, isolation, alienation, and shame. 2 hours of meditative filmmaking showcasing the troubled lives of pre-teens caught in the middle of a typhoon. A lot to digest here.
