This director is on a roll. This movie feels as if it's ripped right out of the 70's. The mysterious nature of the film and how everything isn't answered is something I love about this. The actors are fantastic with Michael Shannon's role as Altons father the standout. This is the story of what a father would do to save his son and the lengths it will go. It's emotionally satisfying. The cinematography is gorgeous and the score sets the mood for the entire movie. Intense in short bursts but when it's happening it's breathtaking. Only problem is that there is slight pacing issues and to regard to the third act, I loved the resolution.
