Maybe the movie sucks so bad because I saw the play first... That's probably it... Has to be! I enjoyed the play, but the movie does not reflect it in any meaningful way. It does the play no justice, and the actors portraying the original characters also do them no justice! The movie is sad, and felt weird like the casting director person had a personal vendetta against the actors... but the play MOVED ENTIRE AUDIENCES! I'm normally WAY into disturbing shit, and this was just weird. Not much else for me. You'll hate my opinion, and tell me how it isn't valid and how "cinema escapes me" at every turn. So I hope you watch it, and lie about enjoying it. I won't tell! I promise!
