The first new DCU series out the gate is James Gunn’s wacky and ultra violent Creature Commandos. It isn’t horrible but it’s also not very memorable. The series suffers from some narrative inconsistencies and underdeveloped plot threads. The voice cast does a good enough job with the material they have to work with but it isn’t much. The animation varies from ugly to so-so. Overall it’s not a bad series. It’s just a very underwhelming one.
