Possibly the most classic of Indonesian horror? The Queen of Black Magic is wild and bursting with gruesome spectacles. Starring the iconic Suzzanna. The film turns vengeance into a full on occult onslaught.
Brimming with mood and mayhem. There’s an atmospheric haze, punctuated by gory outbursts and creatively bizarre curses including exploding heads, flesh-eating insects, and the highlight- a self decapitation where the head floats around and bites victims. You've never seen anything like it.
It’s a time capsule of Indonesia’s unique horror tradition. In many ways, it feels more alive than many modern horror films with bigger budgets.
