Keke Palmer and Sza have such incredible comedic chemistry you’d think they have been doing this together for years. One of Them Days is the kind of outlandish, situational comedy that on paper feels overplayed because streaming services have co-opted the formula to churn out formulaic slop for the past several years, but as Keke would say, the gag is this one actually gets it right. This film is actually funny but knows when to hit the occasional dramatic beat. Both actresses are able to take a hilarious moment and subtly shift the tone so we remember the stakes and the pace keeps pushing alone the tight 90 min runtime. One of Them Days is a breath of fresh air in a landscape where most comedy is utterly stale.
