Freebie and the Bean is a buddy cop film, a genre I usually enjoy, but this one didn’t work for me. The humor felt flat, and the excessive public violence was off-putting. The characters swung between being lovable and completely unhinged, following their chaotic logic, and I just couldn’t connect with them.
