An American village is visited by some unknown life form which leaves the women of the village pregnant. Nine months later, the babies are born, and they all look normal, but it doesn't take the "parents" long to realize that the kids are not human or humane.

Not bad! Hit or miss if I like John Carpenter, sometimes too gruesome. Liked this because it stayed reasonably close to the book by John Wyndham. Christopher Reeve gave a good performance especially when he got the children to stay with him. In the book he managed to block his thoughts so they didn't know about the bomb.
