A film that believes it is perhaps more important than it is. Extraordinarily long sequences at the mid section and finale, with very little story for a movie, which is, at its base, a mildly comedic horror… which is saying something. Its premise is strong, with an atmospheric beginning, shades of our introduction to IT. However, as the knives, or should I say scissors, begin to come out, the story begins to shred and tatter. The final ‘gotcha’, is telegraphed, and the ‘education’ you feel subjected to, gets tangled and lost. High initial hopes, meander to an unfulfilled end for Us, the viewers.
