Into Darkness is a blended all out war film with quality character development. It’s not quite timeless but it features a typical war criminal and an incredible villain plucked from the history books of the Star Trek of old. And it’s brilliant, since the first reboot film essentially resets old characters and encounters with new possibilities. Into Darkness impressed me and feels like a more mature Star Trek experience all around.
