What truly awful fucking garbage. John Lithgow was far and away the best part of the movie. His performance was natural and believable, while the wife was such a damaged, fragile, needy wreck right from the start it's hard to imagine her being given a script, rather than the direction, "be as needy and useless and completely compromised of a human as possible".
