This was easily the best horror film of the year.
The acting was incredible, with Naomi Scott absolutely stealing the show. The jump scares were easily the best of the year for me. I thought there were a few moments where they really subverted expectations and shocked me, and there was never a moment where I felt bored despite the 2 hour run time.
The ending will probably stick with me for quite some time, it was nuts. The way the movie goes from reality to a nightmare is kind of reminiscent of what a modern Nightmare on Elm Street would look like.
Absolutely loved it.
