Fury
In April 1945, as the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened Army sergeant named Wardaddy commands a five-man Sherman tank crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered, out-gunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to defend a field hospital from Waffen SS troops.

I know I’ve never written a review before but THIS movie was that good. Just finished watching it, and I’m blown away- as a female who doesn’t watch war movies I saw this randomly and I saw familiar faces (Brad Pitt) so I gave it a try. Had me literally on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. It does a fantastic job at showing the gritty, gory, heart wrenching aspects of war- and I thought it had just enough character development and background. I personally like my movies to capture my attention throughout, and I don’t like “flashbacks” or too many backstories that really don’t need to be in the scenes. It gets too distracting jumping from past to present, where this movie was based on the past- and highlighted the characters just enough to make you feel like you know them, made you feel as if you were there with them.
This movie had everything. Drama, suspense, emotional pulls, intensity and surprise- god it was so mf good. And it’s 2022 and I thought this movie was new, I’m shocked to see it came out in 2014. Video quality, and cinematography is amazing.
