Enjoyed this for the most part. It treads some familiar ground where unresolved familial trauma and grief manifest as supernatural horrors that haunt the protagonist. I liked most of the horror elements. In particular, the figure digging frantically in the sand was creepy and unsettling. I think there was opportunities to ratchet it up the horror even more, but it never really went there. And everything didn’t quite come together for me in the end. Not a bad festival watch though.
