My quick rating - 6,0/10. Officer Frank Murphy (Roy Scheider), an experienced LAPD helicopter pilot, is given command of the advanced new "Blue Thunder" chopper. But he begins to wonder why the LAPD would need a helicopter so powerful and why it is such a secret. Nice action movie and I'll sum it up quick. 1983. Those were real helicopters. As usual, anything designed for good has to be used for killing. One man in the way of this plan.
