Did really did not care for most of this show even if the finale nearly saves it. There is plenty of good in the series. Ewan reprises his role effectively and it’s clear that he really loves this character. The final duel between Vader and Obi-Wan is excellent and in my opinion much more cinematic than their duel on Mustafar. Aside from that though, there wasn’t much else that felt very compelling from a story perspective and so much of it felt very forced. My biggest gripes are with the exponentially increasing number of fake deaths that the Star Wars franchise seems enjoy using for dramatic effect. Fake-out deaths merely cheapens the stakes of nearly everything that follows and worse, just feels like bad storytelling. So while ultimately landed on the positive with regards to Obi-Wan, I think I really could have done without it.
