Upon hearing of Ushio's death, Shinpei returns to his hometown of Wakayama City on Hitogashima and reunites with his childhood friend's family. The funeral goes smoothly, but under the surface something strange is brewing on the island. What mysteries await him on this secluded summer island?

There's a lot of anime that sells itself on it's twists that I consider worth at least one watch, such as Talentless Nana, Steins;Gate, or Danganronpa. There's very few that I'd actually consider watching twice, Summer Time Rendering is one of them. It's not perfect, it had a bit of a bumpy late game, but it wraps everything up neatly at the end, which I appreciate in a twisty anime, or any anime for that matter. I highly recommend Summer Time Rendering if you're in the mood for a twisty thriller.
