Gone with the Wind

A sheltered and manipulative Southern belle and a roguish profiteer face off in a turbulent romance as the society around them crumbles with the end of slavery and is rebuilt during the Civil War and Reconstruction periods.
Seriously...this is long. Like over 3.5 hours long. With that time there is at least detail oozing out of every shot, set, costume and character. Is it worth it though?
The story is merely nice enough and the whole yearning love thing is dealt with in such a dated fashion that to me it became a bit of an irritation.
Glad it's done and without regret but there's nothing particularly memorable and I'd never want to see it again.
