Longlegs meets A Cure for Wellness, but I think it succeeds where they fail in being able to be an effective genre film while sticking a meaningful and thematic ending as well.
A great horror has a protagonist just getting progressively more beat to shit, and this has that in spades.
Some absolutely gorgeous shots, some absolutely spine tingling tense moments, and Dan Stevens bringing the Bo Burnham Inside energy through Germany absolutely works.
I've not seen Hunter Schafer before but she carries this movie like a boss. The heavy emotional moments, the scared girl, the badass sister... She nails every beat. She's awesome.
I'm glad I was able to find this again because I saw a trailer months ago, but stopped watching once I was hooked so didn't know the title. But I'm glad we found each other.
