I tricked myself into thinking maybe I’d actually enjoy this movie this time around. But man, it just makes me feel nothing.
The first sequence with Zod is great, the movie looks stunning at times, and it has an A+ Hans Zimmer score. But this movie feels like a chore to get through.
Zack Snyder always hits you over the head with his themes, and the first hour of this movie really drags because “the world isn’t ready for superman”.
There’s some good stuff in the middle, before you get to the final fight. It’s just 20 minutes of every building on earth getting obliterated.
I love Cavil, I think he’s a great Witcher who had the potential to be a great Superman. But he has 0 chemistry with Amy Adams.
