Adapted from the novel Mickey7 by Edward Ashton, this stars Robert Pattinson as an "expendable" - a disposable crew member on a space mission, selected for dangerous tasks because his body can be reprinted if he dies, with his memories largely intact. With one regeneration, though, things go very wrong.

Kind of a waste of time. We’ve seen all these concepts before, there’s nothing new. The satire didn’t work for me at all, like yeah we get it bro, America are the big bad colonisers. How many times do I need to see this same boring basic message? Also clones and the ethics surrounding it has been done before too. Visually the film looks pretty good and the movie was definitely crafted well, I just got tired of the drab greyish tone by the end. Everyone acted really well, especially Robert Pattinson but his accent was really annoying. I did like the idea of Expendables, it made you question ideas of life and death and how far one would endure unimaginable pain for scientific discovery. But besides that there wasn’t much that was unique, there’s a few good scenes scattered around but the overarching story is just a big MEH.
