A MOTHER’S WORK IS NEVER DONE
Now THIS is the epitome of a slow burn.
Those are some loooong fucking takes. You can visibly see how this film has inspired cinema in every project since. A24 must worship this movie. It makes time singular. No film feels as long as this yet time goes by in a blip. The way the routine just sucks you in…..
It is absolutely gorgeous. Everything is just so exquisite. Every scene so elegant and precise. Every frame - perfection. Exhausting but in a good way; like a marathon of a movie. We are but just a spectator. Revelatory and a marvel. There is so much beauty in the mundane.
Exactly the type of film that the more pretentious filmmakers are trying to put out today lolol
The monotony reminds me of the John Mulaney joke about how people filled their time back in the day. What a life to live!
So
Are people really able to scrub their own back!?
And
Whoa whoa whoa - did she say sister AND aunt?? What the Incsndies
Last thing - SPOILER ALERT ⬇️⬇️⬇️
My man is a fucking piece of driftwood in the bedroom - god damn!
……I need to know about the meatloaf…….
