Another well crafted James Wann film. I'm not as crazy on these as I am The Conjuring films though. I think part of it is because it's an awesome concept but ends up not being scary. I find images to be creepy but the jump scares are non effective to me. My favorite part about the film is when the old song places on the record. The music is so perfectly creepy and fitting. The acting is fine in this but again Patrick Wilson is better in the other films. I did not remember the extreme sequel set up and that has me excited to check out chapter 2!
