The Republic of Wadiya is ruled by an eccentric and oppressive leader named Hafez Aladeen. Aladeen is summoned to New York to a UN assembly to address concerns about his country's nuclear weapons program, but the trip goes awry.
Beginning was horridly slow, but it got better, peaking comedically at the birth scene. And I understand that many of his characters and characters throughout cinema have no need to be morally responsible or "good," but the moment I realized the only reason I had any ounce of attachment to Aladeen was because I wanted Zoey (Anna Farris's character) to be happy with him was when I realized he was a weak, scattershot, scripted character. However, its crests rise higher than how far the troughs dip. P.S. Don't go in expecting the cataclysm of Borat type humor. It will royally kill the movie like it did for me.
