After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt and Jenko when they go deep undercover at a local college.
A self-aware comedy with a laid-back vibe that knows exactly what it is and plays it all the way through. It builds on tried-and-true jokes, but never falls into boredom because it’s driven by a charismatic duo whose on-screen chemistry is pure gold. Honestly, they complement each other so well that it’s hard not to laugh, even at the dumbest gags.
What clicked with me the most was how the relationship between the cop partners was portrayed like a romantic one - absurd on the surface, yet it totally works. The whole thing balances between parody and genuine bromance, but never loses its pace. Perfect entertainment that doesn’t pretend to be anything more.
Oh, and those end credits!
