A squad of unsuspecting cops go through a trapdoor to Hell when they stumble upon a Black Mass in an abandoned building.
Things take a bit before getting started. In fact, I'd argue to say most of the first twenty-five minutes could had been cut. The real heat kicks off when the police squad arrived at the abandoned building. When the first imagery of Hell is revealed- Baskin is on fire. That's really all Baskin has going for it. The portrayal of Hell is nightmarish and bleak. The images stay with you. Wasn't a fan of the back and forth mind games and by the end events, it didn't hold much interest. Solid execution of Hell on film, pretty mediocre outside of that. Bonus points for using a song from Cannibal Holocaust. This gorehound cracked a smile.
