King of the Ants

King of the Ants
A young drifter discovers his true calling when he's hired by a mobster to stalk and kill a prominent accountant, and then decides to seek revenge when the stingy thugs try to kill him rather than pay him.

Mean spirited slice of early 2000's indie grit from Stuart Gordon. A spectacle of violence, paranoia, and broken identity.
King of the Ants is rough around the edges- the pacing drags at times, and its digital look hasn’t aged gracefully but Gordon commits fully to the grime and moral rot of the material. It’s part crime thriller, part psychological descent, with a few brutal scenes that don’t hold back. It truly stands out as a weirdly forgotten experiment in Gordon’s career.
