I enjoyed all what seemed to me to be homages to tons of horror films that came before. Awesome makeup, practical effects and sound design along with a better than average score. Dastmalchian continues to be a shinning beacon in horror here with a great turn as the weirdly concerned neighbor. The only things that keep the film from reaching a higher level for me are the bungled attempts at humor, some pacing issues and a lot of way too darkly lit scenes.
