Warfare is hands down one of the most intense and realistic war movies out there. It doesn’t try to dramatize or glamorize anything—what you see is what soldiers actually go through. A lot of veterans have said it’s one of the most accurate portrayals of combat, and it really shows.
There’s no music throughout the film, except at the very beginning, which makes everything feel way more raw and unsettling. It messes with you psychologically because you’re just stuck in the sounds of gunfire, yelling, breathing—it feels like you’re really there.
The movie is long and brutal, and it doesn’t let up. It’s unforgiving, both in how it shows the physical toll of war and the emotional weight that comes with it. It’s not an easy watch, but that’s what makes it so powerful.
If you’re looking for a real, no-nonsense war film that doesn’t sugarcoat anything, Warfare is 100% worth watching.
