The Hunt for Red October
This movie tells the story of Captain Marko Ramius (Sir Sean Connery), the skipper of the Soviet Union's newest nuclear submarine, the "Red October." Jack Ryan (Alec Baldwin) of the C.I.A. gets involved in a tense, tangled hunt for this sub, when Ramius defects, taking the "Red October" with him. The story is an action packed techno-thriller.

This is a solid Cold War thriller. Sean Connery is great as the Russian sub captain, and Alec Baldwin plays a surprisingly chill Jack Ryan. It’s not super action-packed, but the tension builds nicely, and the submarine stuff is way more exciting than you'd think. Feels a bit slow in parts, but overall, it holds up well.
Pretty cool movie, worth checking out.
