Jim Henson being in this means its cannon in the Muppet universe for my head cannon. Clearly the dark crystal world is where all Muppets are born originally.
This is dark fantasy with live action / practical effects of the highest caliber, a movie that genuinely never gets old and holds its place in a lot of hearts.
